Toddler-Savvy Nanny/Family Assistant Needed For Travel-Loving Los Angeles Family

A dynamic, loving family of three is seeking an adventurous nanny/family assistant to join them in caring for their 2-year-old!

• Location: Pacific Palisades, CA
• Ages of children: 2 years old
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit, ideally by the first week of June!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 48.5 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday. On three days per week the hours are 7:30am to 6:00pm, and on the other two days, the hours are 7:30am to 4:00pm. Additional coverage for extended evenings, overnights, travel, and weekends will be asked for in advance and appreciated.
• Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 48.5-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $96-110k/year dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full compensation and benefits package. A vehicle will be provided for professional use.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. Live-in accommodations are provided when traveling and for extended stays in Massachusetts.

Household dynamic:

• This open and loving Los Angeles family is excited to find a nanny to join their crew! Their 2-year-old daughter is described by her parents as being a very easygoing, perceptive, communicative, and playful kid. She adjusts well to new environments, and loves coloring, meeting new people and dogs, and playing and reading books. She attends preschool three times per week from 9am to noon. They are a spontaneous, adventure-oriented family and love to spend time outdoors, from skiing to lounging on the beach. They also have a sweet, small dog who is a part of their family. They look forward to fostering a professional and warm working relationship with their nanny!
• The family travels frequently throughout the year, and is planning a 3-month stint on the east coast this summer! They are excited to find a nanny who can join their family while traveling, and they typically take four 4-7 day trips each year with an extended trip in the summer. Both parents are in and out of the house, so someone comfortable working alongside them is paramount.

• This position is ideal for someone well-versed in the toddler years and eager to support a dynamic family who loves to travel! The family follows a gentle parenting style, and someone who brings warmth and passion for childcare is their top priority. A true career nanny will thrive in this household, and the candidate should be comfortable with various family assisting responsibilities and providing holistic care for the whole family.
• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Willingness to pitch in with errands, tidying up around the house, and full-family laundry is key.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has a formal background in early childhood education.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Experience traveling with families and children
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
• Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree in a child or education-related field preferred
• Dog friendly!
