Supportive, Spanish-Speaking Nanny Needed For Vibrant Tribeca Family

A collaborative and organized NYC-based family is seeking a Spanish-speaking nanny to join them in caring for their children!

 

  • Location: Tribeca, New York, NY
  • Ages of children: 2.5 years old and 4 months old
  • Start date: As soon as possible, ideally early September!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm. Occasional early starts at 7AM (anticipated 2-3x a month). Flexibility for travel, and date nights will be asked in advance and appreciated!
  • Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 50-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $100-114k/year range.
  • Benefits: The family will provide benefits, including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a public transportation pass, and relocation assistance.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-out

Household dynamic:

  • These family-oriented and hands-on parents seek a dedicated nanny to join them in caring for their two young children. Their 2-year-old daughter is described as a natural leader – bright, communicative, and engaged. She’s charming and loves being right in the middle of the action! This fall, she will attend half-day pre-school and participate in enriching activities. The family seeks a Spanish-speaking candidate to support her linguistic growth through immersive language opportunities and by engaging in conversational Spanish regularly. Their 4-month-old is an affable, loving, and relaxed baby whose contagious smiles bring joy to each day. The family plans to enroll him in group classes such as music and gymnastics in the spring. Someone who loves nurturing children’s growth and can foster a positive, organized, and engaging learning environment to facilitate their development will be a wonderful fit.
  • These dual-career parents work outside the home and love to dedicate personal time to their family. They travel occasionally throughout the year, including to a nearby residence, so someone comfortable traveling on occasion would be wonderful. The family employs a housekeeper 4 days per week. They are excited to welcome someone who can seamlessly integrate into their household and foster a collaborative and harmonious atmosphere.

Ideal Candidate: 

  • This position is ideal for a nanny who speaks fluent Spanish, has a nurturing and calm demeanor, and takes a collaborative approach to care. The family appreciates someone who can help raise their children with the positive values, guidance, and love that both parents lovingly instilled in them! A candidate who demonstrates clear and supportive communication, can integrate socialization and developmental activities into the children’s daily routines, and can maintain a clean and organized environment will be immensely valued.
  • This is a child-focused role. Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family occasionally during the work week.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional nanny experience
  • Spanish language fluency
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19
