Rotational Newborn Care Specialists Needed For Dynamic Miami Family

Miami-based first-time parents are seeking a rotational NCS team to join them in caring for their baby, due December 2024!

  • Location: Miami, FL
  • Ages of children: Baby is due in early December 2024!
  • Contract Length: 6 months, with the option to extend for the perfect long-term fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/off with 24/7 care while on duty.
  • Fly-in/Fly-out: The family is open to candidates flying in and out for their rotations. They prefer local candidates and will be happy to provide housing assistance or accommodations for someone who wants to live locally in Miami.
  • Compensation: The family is offering an hourly rate of $50-60/hour for 24-hour care, which equates to a contract base compensation of $109-131+k dependent on the candidate's experience and the agreed-upon schedule and contract length. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including a health insurance stipend, housing assistance, and relocation assistance. A vehicle will be provided for professional use.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. The family is happy to provide a private bedroom and bathroom in their home, and a bed in the baby’s nursery will be provided for overnight shifts.
  • Other notes: While not a requirement for the 6-month NCS contract, the family would love to meet candidates who may be interested in transitioning into a long-term ROTA Nanny position.

The family has a fast-paced lifestyle and splits time between their homes in Miami and the Northeast.   • This fully staffed home includes a chef, household manager, personal assistant, and security personnel. They seek to create a caring, tight-knit environment in their home that allows everyone to thrive. Someone strongly dedicated to nurturing the children’s growth and development will be a great fit. Candidates should be confident in partnering with both parents and staff while being self-driven and taking the initiative to educate the family on best practices. Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone professional, passionate, gentle, and efficient! A candidate who has previous experience working in high-net-worth homes as a newborn care specialist and anticipating a family and child’s needs will be an excellent fit. The family looks forward to working with someone who will bring a proactive, calm, easy-going attitude and step-in/step-out mentality to the role. An NCS who is organized and can help keep the baby’s belongings arranged at home and on the family’s many travels will be essential! They are excited to find a nurturing and knowledgeable member to join their team.
  • Responsibilities include creating a nurturing and safe environment for the newborn to thrive, as well as other child-related tasks including prepping and sanitizing bottles, baby’s laundry, tidying the nursery, and generally bringing a supportive, all-hands-on-deck, collaborative attitude to each day.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience as a newborn care specialist or doula
  • Experience working as a newborn care specialist and/or doula with at least 5 families
  • Knowledge of every aspect of newborn care, including professional and working knowledge of feeding, bathing, and dressing infants, and preparing, cleaning, and sanitizing bottles
  • Experience and knowledge surrounding sleep conditioning, establishing routines, feeding routines, and developmental milestones
  • Newborn care specialist training, preferably through Newborn Care Solutions or another CACHE-accredited program
  • Valid passport and driver’s license
  • Experience working in a fully-staffed home
  • Experience traveling with families and children
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
