CLOSED: Professional Travel-Ready Nanny Needed For On-The-Go Lake Tahoe Family

Closed
West Coast

This warm and spontaneous Lake Tahoe-based family is seeking a professional infant and toddler-savvy nanny to join their family team!

  • Location: Incline Village, NV
  • Ages of children: 8 months old, 5 years old, and 8 years old. This nanny’s role will be to care for the infant only!
  • Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm, or similar. The family looks forward to working with their nanny to create a mutually beneficial schedule. Additional hours for travel will be asked for in advance and appreciated.
  • Compensation: The family is offering $45-50/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $94-104k/year range. May be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental, and vision insurance, matching 401k, a housing stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance based on the candidate's need and the full benefits package.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live-out preferred. The family is open to providing a housing stipend, nearby rental, or possibly on-site accommodations.

Household dynamic:

  • This happily blended family describes themselves as caring, adventurous, globally-minded, and family-oriented. Their 8-month-old son is sweet, curious, and enjoys exploring the world around him! They have two elementary-aged children who are with them every other week and who have a nanny dedicated to their care. Their parents describe them as playful and active kids who love spending time outside. These parents work hard to promote harmony and maintain a respectful environment within their home. They also have a small dog so animal lovers should apply.
  • This family values a collaborative environment! Their family team consists of a nanny for the older children, a family assistant, house manager, and housekeeper all of whom interact and communicate throughout the day. Travel is a big part of life for this family and they look forward to working with nannies who are travel-ready at all times! They frequently visit their second home in Southern California and enjoy trips to Europe throughout the year.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who loves working with infants and toddlers and who is versed in supporting their individual development and milestones! A candidate who is professional, enjoys working autonomously while interacting with other household staffers, and is ready to join the family on their adventures will thrive in this role.
  • Someone who is confident driving in snowy mountain conditions during the winter months is imperative! The family will provide a 4WD vehicle, but the candidate needs to bring confidence and know-how. There may also be an opportunity to carpool to the home depending on where the candidate decides to live. Candidates who are able to be flexible and go with the flow while traveling will do well.
  • Responsibilities include creating a safe and loving environment for the children to grow and thrive! This includes but is not limited to planning enriching and developmentally-appropriate activities for the infant, child-related meal prep, child-related laundry and tidying, grocery shopping, errands, and light pet care.
  • While not a requirement for this position, the family would love to work with a candidate who is comfortable with occasionally living and working on a large boat!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a strong preference for someone with comfortability driving in the snow
  • Valid passport
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
  • Experience traveling with families and children
  • Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws

This position is open to all Adventure Nannies candidates who are legally able to work in the US. Out of respect for the privacy of the families we work with, we cannot provide any additional information about this position other than what has already been provided in the job description.
