CLOSED - Professional, Organized + Caring Temp Nanny/Family Assistant Needed For Tribeca Family

A nurturing, active family of five is seeking a proactive, intuitive nanny/family assistant to join them in caring for their 3 children and home for a 4+ month temporary contract!

• Location: Tribeca, NYC
• Ages of children: 4, 3, and 1-year-old
• Contract dates: ASAP through early March 2023. For the perfect applicant who has availability, the family may be open to extending this contract!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-50 hours per week with the general schedule falling 5 days/week from 12pm to 7pm, or similar. The candidate will always have two consecutive days off/week and an example weekly schedule might be Monday-Friday, or Tuesday-Saturday. The family looks forward to designing the weekly schedule in advance alongside their candidate.
• Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based which will equate to $1,400-2,200/week based on the 40-50-hour/week schedule. Compensation will be dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule.
• Accommodations: Live-out. Local-to-NYC candidates and those within a commutable distance of Tribeca will be strongly prioritized for this role.

Family dynamic:

• This loving, spontaneous Tribeca family is looking forward to finding a nanny who can jump in and support their family for the next few months! At ages 4, 3, and 1, their children are all developing unique personalities. Their 4-year-old is a wonderful, sensitive big sister who loves to follow directions. At 3 years old, their middle child is fiercely bright with a cheeky sense of humor and a tendency to test boundaries. Their youngest loves his big sisters, and simply enjoys being along for the ride! Their two eldest children attend school nearby until 3pm, so daily care will be dedicated to either supporting their youngest child, or providing some family assisting-type support to their household.
• The family is multilingual, and they speak French and German at home. As both parents enter a busy season of life with work and supporting an ailing family member, they are excited to find a nanny who can provide some much-needed support! In addition to housekeepers, the family also works with a part-time nanny who will be available to partner with this full-time candidate, particularly during afterschool hours when all three children are at home, on occasion. Both parents will be in and out of the home, and hope to work with a candidate who can be self-sufficient and independent in their role!

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for a candidate who is comfortable jumping into their role feet first! Someone who is savvy with the early toddler through preschool years and can be a beam of support to busy parents, as well as someone who possesses a willingness to pitch in with some family assisting duties. The family values organization and order, and will appreciate working with a candidate who feels the same and can adapt to systems already in place! Someone who brings professional savvy to the role will be a perfect fit for this family.
• Responsibilities include child-related activities like school pickup and managing after-school routines, light children’s organization, tidying, and laundry, children’s meal prep, and assistance with bedtime routines. A candidate who is eager to help out with family assisting duties like grocery shopping or running a quick errand will be appreciated as time allows and the children are at school.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks French!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Comfortable and experienced caring for multiple children in a role
• Experienced and willing to provide family assisting support as needed during school hours
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
