CLOSED - Professional, Experienced, Passionate Nanny Needed For Florida Family

A structured and fun-loving family based in Fisher Island / Miami Beach is seeking a skilled, positive, and professional nanny to join them in caring for their two young children.

• Location: Fisher Island / Miami Beach, FL
• Ages of children: 3.5 years old and 20 months
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week. The candidate can anticipate working five days per week for 10-11 hours/day with some days being 8 am to 6 pm, and others from 10 am to 8 pm. The family’s schedule is solidified and provided to the nanny at least two weeks in advance, and the candidate will always have two consecutive days off/week. A candidate who is open to travel, evening, and weekend care with advanced notice, and collaborating with the family on designing upcoming schedules will be key.
• Compensation: The family is offering $45-50/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $117-130k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package. The family will provide a vehicle for the nanny to use while on duty.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out

Household dynamic:

• This family’s 3.5-year-old daughter loves to play! Whether it be an afternoon of arts and crafts or a morning of dress-up and games, she loves to engage with her imagination and have fun. This joyful little girl is also enrolled in school from 8 am to noon Monday through Friday. Her 20-month-old little brother stays busy trying to keep up with his sister! He is a curious toddler who is keen on reading books, exploring outside, and playing with age-appropriate toys.
• Maintaining a calm and organized home is very important to this family, as they work hard to create a fun and loving environment. Mom and Dad are both in and out of the house regularly, and they have a full staff that includes two other nannies, a chef, and a housekeeper. This family spends time between Florida, Toronto, and Aspen and they look forward to future travels with their nanny team!

• Responsibilities include co-creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, children’s meal prep, children’s laundry, tidying up common areas, driving children to activities, and flexibility to travel with the family.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks French or Spanish or who has a bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in a child or education-related field.

Qualifications:

• 10 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver's license and passport
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
• Experience traveling with families and children
• Experience working in a team or fully-staffed environment
• A knowledge of Montessori, RIE, or Positive Parenting or an Early Childhood Education background
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
• Flexibility and availability to spend summers in Toronto
