Household dynamic:

  • This low-key family has one daughter who is the center of their world (with supporting roles from their beloved hypoallergenic dogs!). After spending most of the last ten years in New York, they relocated to Naples to provide their daughter with a wonderful setting in which to grow up. The parents describe their daughter as extremely smart, curious, and good-natured, with a particular love of the outdoors. Beginning this fall, she will attend school part-time, allowing the candidate to provide family assisting support. One parent has a chronic illness and would appreciate working alongside a supportive, proactive candidate who can go with the flow of each day!
  • They travel occasionally throughout the year and would love for their nannies to join them! The family also works with an additional Adventure nanny and a housekeeper. A willingness to collaborate and pitch in where needed will be valued in this organized and team-oriented home.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who can provide a loving, active, and intellectually engaging environment for their child to grow and thrive! The family looks forward to working with an even-keeled nanny who can get on their child’s level and focus on her social and emotional development. A candidate who brings an educational spirit to their role and is excited to suggest developmentally appropriate activities and outings and find learning moments every day will be a great fit. Willingness to pitch in with general home organization and basic family assisting duties will be key!
  • Responsibilities include but are not limited to creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, healthy meal prep for the child, tidying and organizing children’s areas, children’s laundry, running errands, coordinating activities, packing/unpacking, household inventory management, coordinating deliveries and returns, light pet care, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with a child-related educational background!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
  • Willing to provide family assisting support
  • Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care
