A joyful, respectful, and outdoorsy family based in Boulder, Colorado is seeking a compassionate, trustworthy, and reliable nanny to join their family!

• Location: Boulder, CO
• Ages of children: 6 and 3 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: October 2022 or as soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday from 9am to 5pm and Thursday from 1:15pm to 9pm. A candidate who is open to travel, evening, and weekend care with advanced notice will be appreciated.
• Compensation: The family is offering $40-45/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $83-117k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, relocation assistance, and a housing stipend based on candidate need and the full benefits package.

Household dynamic:

• This loving family is seeking a compassionate, nurturing, and reliable nanny to care for their happy 3- and 6-year-old daughters. The family lives on a small farm where they grow vegetables and herbs, and they love to explore the natural world around them with curiosity and eagerness. The sisters have a wonderful relationship with each other and love playing together. The oldest is a bright, cheerful, and inquisitive first grader who is with the family two days per week and with her mom the rest of the week. The younger daughter attends a nature preschool two mornings a week and the majority of the care will be for her. She is a joyful, imaginative, independent, and affectionate kiddo. She loves being outside, reading books, playing dress-up, singing and dancing, going to the park, building things, and helping in the kitchen. The family loves letting her take the lead and encouraging her independence.
• Going for walks, hiking around the farm, playing music, cooking meals together, gathering with friends, and being playful and silly are all part of a normal day for this family! They also love to travel to beautiful and fun places like California, Jackson Hole, New England, and the Bahamas and look forward to finding a nanny who can join them. The parents are Buddhist and have strong values around compassion, kindness, and healthy communication. They believe in creating a positive environment for their nanny and treating them with respect and care.
• The family is all vaccinated and are COVID-cautious as a way to protect the immunocompromised people in their lives. They appreciate mask-wearing while indoors in public places, regular testing, and general precautions and hope to find a nanny who shares this approach.

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for a nanny who is gentle, trustworthy, responsible, and silly, and who can also set clear boundaries with their two young girls! A candidate who is eager and excited about fostering an honest and communicative relationship with the parents is key, as they hope to keep an open line of communication through regular check-ins. This family is looking for someone who can be proactive, and engaged with their children.
• A candidate who brings a developmentally-minded approach to the day and proactively researches and implements activities and educational play while supporting the children’s curiosity and exploration will thrive alongside the family. Responsibilities will mostly focus on child-related tasks, but also are seeking someone who is open to helping to keep their home organized and running smoothly.
• The family requires that candidates have or are able to obtain a reliable personal vehicle for professional use and they will be open to providing an auto insurance stipend.
• Bonus qualifications: While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who brings experience with Montessori, Waldorf, RIE, and/or an early childhood education background and who loves to continue learning and growing in their profession. They would also like to find a candidate who is excited to travel with them throughout the year!

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of professional, full-time childcare experience
• Valid driver's license and passport
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws.
• Comfortability in preparing basic meals and helping with light housekeeping
• Travel experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
