Safety-minded, proactive, and infant-and-toddler-savvy nanny needed for a growing family in Brooklyn, NY!
- Location: Brooklyn, NY
- Ages of children: 3-year-old girl and newborn boy
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as the family finds the right fit! The family is flexible on an ASAP start date or pivoting to January 2023 pending candidate availability.
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 35-40 hours per week with the general schedule consisting of 8-10 hours/day and 5 days/week. The candidate can expect some weeks to follow an 8-5pm schedule, and others to pivot to a 2 pm-10 pm schedule. A candidate who is flexible to provide occasional date nights, weekends, and occasionally travel with the family would be appreciated. The family looks forward to designing a schedule that works well for all parties.
- Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $73k-83k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and a MetroCard based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-out.
Household dynamic:
- This busy, adventurous, animal-loving Brooklyn family of four has just welcomed their newborn son to the family! Their 3-year-old daughter loves playing dress-up, reading, being outdoors, and is eager to start preschool three full days a week beginning this fall.
- The family hopes to foster a close, warm, and trusting working environment in their home. Dad is in and out of the house throughout the day and will at times be around the house and spend time with the children alongside the nanny. Mom will be home taking care of the newborn for the first few months, and will appreciate their nanny being flexible and ready to care for both children when the time comes.
- This household also has two German Shepherds and one cat that bring a loving, and furry energy to the home!
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who has infant and toddler experience and who can proactively and kindly take the lead on what needs to be done. A candidate who is extremely responsible, has a high-level of care and awareness, and who can build an authentic connection with the children will thrive in this position. The family would love to work with someone who can support them on occasional travel as needed.
- Responsibilities include creating a nurturing and supportive environment for the children to grow and thrive, light children’s meal preparation, child-related housekeeping, dishes, laundry, and occasional pet care. While not required, the family would love to work with a candidate who possesses a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications:
- Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19 prior to start date
- Comfortability in preparing basic meals
- 3+ years of professional childcare experience
- Recent experience with infant and toddler stages
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
- Pet friendly! Willing to support light pet care
