Household dynamic:
- This collaborative, travel-loving CA-based family seeks a caring and supportive nanny to join them in caring for their two children! Their 2-year-old daughter is described by her parents as being spirited, smart, independent, and decisive. She attends preschool during the week, so the role will primarily focus on their youngest during the day. At 9 months old, he is charming, strong, loves to eat, and is full of curiosity about the things around him. Someone who can create a nurturing and educational environment, and intuitively plan interactive and developmental activities that foster the children’s social, physical, and emotional growth will be a great addition to the team.
- These dual-career parents work from home in a separate office. They enjoy traveling as a family and take a few trips each year to exciting destinations such as Europe, Canada, and weekend trips around the US. A candidate who is on the go and is excited to join the family adventures is key! Someone who enjoys being a part of the family will collaborate well with these team-minded, engaged parents.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone nurturing, team-oriented, and has a passion for working with kids. Someone who can incorporate learning moments throughout the day, sparking curiosity and encouraging growth while caring for their children’s basic needs will be a perfect fit! A candidate with a see-a-need, fill-a-need approach, who can collaborate effectively with the parents, support the household, and maintain open and clear communication will be appreciated. The family is looking forward to meeting someone who is confident and experienced in caring for both an infant and a toddler in the same role. They will love working with someone who can foster an environment of curiosity and learning for their kids!
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has an educational background and knows how to swim! They would also welcome someone who can join them for international travel, but it is not required.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
- Valid driver’s license
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Comfortable preparing basic meals for the kids
- Standard vaccinations
