Household dynamic:

  • This private, travel-loving San Francisco-based family is excited to find a nanny to join their family team! At 4, 3, and 1, their three kids are active, love to play outside, and keep their parents on their toes. The eldest two children attend full-day school during the week, while the youngest will be supported by the nanny during the day.
  • The family enjoys splitting time between their family homes in SF and the wine country. They usually spend their winter vacations skiing in the mountains and enjoy traveling domestically or overseas in the summer. The family has a chef who prepares dinner, and an additional weekday nanny who has worked for them for 2.5 years and will be a part of the ROTA team! Both parents are in and out of the house regularly. Pet lovers should apply, as the family has a sweet, hypoallergenic dog.
  • They are excited to start a rotational schedule with their new nanny team, and they will be utilizing that rotational setup over the summer while they spend time in France and Switzerland!

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who is a confident childcare provider and who loves the early toddler, preschool, and elementary school years! Candidates should bring strong experience with the early childhood years, and proactive energy to each day. The family likes to provide the guardrails and have the nanny color in the lines to provide a warm, caring, and enriching environment for the children. Strong communication and collaboration skills will go a long way in this role, especially as the family lives across multiple homes and needs their nanny to ensure smooth transitions for the kids. Anyone who appreciates the outdoors, likes to stay active, and practices healthy habits for mind, body, and spirit will fit right in with this family!
  • This is a child-focused role. Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child(ren) to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, children’s laundry, occasional errands, organizing before- and after-school routines, coordinating activities, stocking household items for the children, transitioning between homes, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
  • A candidate who appreciates other cultures and understands that no task is too small will thrive in this family team! A candidate should be eager to see a need and fill a need.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for the early toddler through preschool years
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Dog friendly!
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
