This adventurous, outdoor-loving New Mexico family is excited to find an imaginative nanny to join in caring for their 3.5 and 1-year-old children!
- Location: Montezuma, New Mexico
- Ages of children: 1 and 3.5 years old
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 47.5 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 7:45 am to 5:15 pm.
- Compensation: The family is offering $30-35/hour based on the 47.5 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $80-93k/year dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package. The family is happy to provide a vehicle for commuting, professional use, and occasional personal use.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family is happy to provide a landing pad and assist a candidate in their housing search if they are interested in living in/near Montezuma!

- Based in beautiful New Mexico, this warm family is excited to find a nanny to join their family! At 3.5 and 1 years old, they are described as being the sweetest, easiest, happiest, and most fun kids their dad could imagine! The 3.5-year-old is full of love, charm, and energy! He walks up to strangers to say hi with a smile and loves rambling around the woods, playing with trucks, reading, and climbing. He will be attending a local school three days per week. The youngest child is just past one, and her personality is emerging! She is described by her Dad as being happy and extroverted (like her brother!) with a chill demeanor. The family also has a dog at home who will love getting out for walks with the nanny and kids.
- As a single parent by choice, Dad is excited to find a nanny who can be a partner in providing calm, patient care for his two children. The family lives about an hour outside of Santa Fe and welcomes a candidate who would like to commute in from Santa Fe or relocate to Montezuma. The family lives on the campus of a vibrant international residential school with students and faculty from all over the world! Dad works outside of the house during the day, so candidates who are communicative and enjoy working autonomously will be a wonderful fit. The family hopes to travel more in the coming years and has a second home in central Oregon, where they plan to spend their summers. This family is globally minded and values time outdoors no matter the weather, and they would love to work with a candidate who shares these perspectives!
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a candidate who loves to be outdoors and provides an imaginative, light-hearted, and jubilant environment for children to grow. Someone who loves working with the early toddler through preschool years and enjoys working with talkative, active kids will be a great fit for their bubbly and sweet crew. The family loves the forest school ethos and appreciates a calm, child-led, developmentally-minded, and patient approach to care.
- Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to thrive, children’s laundry and meal preparation, assisting with before and after school routines, child-related tidying, and light pet care! A willingness to pitch in where needed will be appreciated. Candidates must be LGBTQIA+ friendly.
- While not required for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish and/or a candidate who would be comfortable pitching in with some full-family meal prep as time allows! The family enjoys being close to their community and invites another 3.5-year-old to join them two days per week. A nanny who is excited to facilitate care for the three kids on those days, for additional compensation, is key.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
- Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
