CLOSED - Organized + Loving Family Assistant/Nanny Needed For Dynamic Bay Area Family

A loving and spontaneous family in Ross, CA is seeking a consistent and responsible family assistant/nanny to join their bustling family!

• Location: Ross, California
• Ages of children: 15, 14, & 13 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: Late May or as soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40+ hours/week. The family has 3 schedule structures to anticipate in this role with advanced notice:
  • A Schedule: On a week when the parents are not traveling, the candidate can expect to work 40-50 hours/week with the general working hours falling between 7 am and 7 pm, with breaks offered mid-day while the children are in school.
  • B Schedule: During weeks when the parents are traveling (~2 weeks per month), the candidate can expect to provide 24-hour care, with breaks offered while the children are in school.
  • PTO Schedule: The candidate can expect 8-10 weeks of paid time off to balance to the 24-hour care weeks when the parents travel without the children.
  • The family will always guarantee a minimum of 40 hours per week regardless of hours worked, with overtime accruing for all hours worked after 40 hours/week.
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $125k/year dependent on experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including up to 8-10 weeks of paid time off (2 of which will be at the candidate's discretion), paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance based on candidate's need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family is open to providing a temporary landing pad for the perfect relocation candidate. The nanny will be provided with private living quarters in the family home when providing 24/7 care.

Household dynamic:

• This adventurous and fun-loving group is excited to welcome a family assistant/nanny into their lives! They have three teenage daughters who are described by their parents as each having unique personalities and interests that the parents are proud to nurture, such as sports, music, and creativity. This lively blended family loves to cook family dinners together, go to the beach, and hit the slopes in the winter. They also describe their home as being the hub for the girls’ social lives, as there are often friends over and activities happening which the family loves and encourages. In addition to the three girls, the family has two cats and is considering getting a dog in the future!
• Both parents travel extensively, so someone who is able to fill big shoes and confidently care for the girls full-time at home will be essential for the role. When at home, the family loves spending time together and will require less daily support from the nanny, so flexibility to adjust schedules will be key. The right candidate will connect with the girls, foster their interests, talents, and strengths and help them enjoy their time at home! This is a fully-staffed home environment, including housekeepers, and a Chief of Staff. Candidates can anticipate working in a collaborative, warm, and lively environment! Someone who is excited to work on a team, and brings a confident approach to care will be a great fit.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with experience working in a fully-staffed home!

• Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and consistent environment for the girls to thrive. Driving the girls to and from school and activities, helping with homework, grocery shopping, and family meal preparation (the family would be more than happy to provide cooking classes if a candidate was interested in developing this skillset), tidying common areas, kid’s laundry, calendar & appointment management, and pet care will be key. A candidate who can confidently support the girls and the household will be pivotal.
• The family is open to meeting candidates who do not have family assisting experience, but who are seasoned nannies eager to transition into a hybrid role!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Willing to provide family assisting support
• Comfortability preparing basic meals for the entire family
• Knowledge and experience working with teenagers
• Dog and Cat friendly! Willing to support light pet care.
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
