This adventurous family seeks a passionate, intuitive, and educationally-minded nanny/educator to support their bright, musically gifted 3-year-old!
- Location: The family travels frequently and spends time at residences in Florida, Wyoming, and Tennessee.
- Ages of children: 3 years old
- Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on 5 days on/2 days off per week. Typically, candidates can expect to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or similar. Flexibility for shifts in the schedule and weekend coverage, especially when traveling, will be key.
- Compensation: The family is offering $48-68/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $99-141k/year, dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. A separate apartment or guest house will be provided in all locations.

The family seeks someone confident in promoting their child’s growth in language, math, science, history, art, and music. A candidate who can foster their son’s love of learning through a playful, hands-on, child-led exploration incorporating creativity, storytelling, visual arts, or movement-based activities will be a great fit. The family embraces nature-based education and travel, so a love for outdoor and experiential learning is key! The ideal candidate is playful, engaging, and brings creativity and energy to every learning experience. Emotional intelligence and intuition are essential, ensuring that they are attuned to his needs and can foster confidence, resilience, and a deep love of learning. Someone with a strong background in holistic, child-led education, with familiarity in Montessori, Doman, Unschooling, Sudbury, or Reggio Emilia methods, and an understanding of early childhood development, including speech and fine motor skill development, will be beneficial! - Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, facilitating engaging and enriching activities incorporating curiosity-driven, child-led education, blending Montessori, Doman, and unschooling principles to nurture his natural intelligence and creativity, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
- While it is not a requirement, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish fluently and/or is musically inclined.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for toddlers
- Experience in education outside of the classroom
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Ability to swim and comfortable caring for children in and near water
- Valid driver's license and passport
- Confident driving in snow
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
