An optimistic and loving family based in NYC is seeking a playful and responsible nanny to join them in a temporary capacity from January until June in caring for their two young children!
- Location: New York, NY
- Ages of children: 5 and 3 years old
- Start date: January 23, 2023 - June 1, 2023
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-45 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday between the hours of 12-10 pm. The candidate can anticipate 1-2 days/week ending at 7pm, and 3-4 days/week ending at 10pm. Additional hours for evening coverage may be asked for in advance and appreciated.
- Compensation: The family is offering $30-35/hour based on the 40-45 hour/week schedule, which equates to a weekly compensation of $1,200-1,450/week range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off and paid holidays based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-in or live-out. For live-in candidates, the family will provide a private bedroom and bathroom within their home.
Household dynamic:
- The family’s five-year-old daughter is active, engaging, and happy! She loves to read, dance, swim, play dress-up, explore new destinations while traveling, and be outdoors. Their adventurous three-year-old son is playful and curious. Their children currently attend school 5 days a week in NYC from 8:15 am to 1:45 pm and 8:30 am to 3 pm, respectively. They are enrolled in after-school activities to support their love of movement and connection.
- The family describes themselves as voracious readers and loves to spend quality time together with their favorite books. They can be found exploring local parks, enjoying meals throughout the city, and being active together. They are eager to find an optimistic, responsible, and experienced nanny who will be excited to travel and explore the city with them. They are excited to welcome their nanny in as an essential part of their team.
- The family has had wonderful experiences with past caregivers and hopes to foster a close, warm, and loving working environment in their home. Both parents are in and out of the house throughout the day and one parent is a stay-at-home parent who looks forward to collaborating and spending time with the children alongside the nanny. The family has plans to relocate to the West Coast in the summer of 2023, so they are seeking a wonderful, NYC-based nanny to join them ahead of their big move!

- This position is ideal for a nanny who is gentle, trustworthy, responsible, and playful, and who can also set clear boundaries with their two young children! The family is looking for someone who brings a minimum of 5 years of experience and who is organized, proactive, and engaged with their children.
- A candidate who brings a developmentally-minded approach to the day and proactively researches and implements activities and educational play while supporting the children’s curiosity and exploration will thrive alongside the family. The ideal candidate is a NYC local who enjoys confidently and responsibly exploring the city with children on foot.
- Responsibilities are mainly centered around the children and include tidying up common areas, children’s laundry, preparing for travel by making lists and packing and unpacking when changing locations, light child-related meal prep, and running occasional household errands like a quick grocery shop. The family would love to meet a candidate who is toddler-savvy, with experience supporting potty training. The family has a small, hypoallergenic dog who is an important member of their family, and they look forward to meeting a pet-friendly nanny!
Qualifications:
- 5 years of professional childcare experience
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
- Experience traveling with families and children
- Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care for a hypoallergenic dog.
