A loving and organized family in Franktown, CO is seeking a nanny/house manager to join their crew!

  • Location: Franktown, CO (about 45 minutes southeast of Denver)
  • Ages of children: 9 and 11 years old
  • Start date/Contract dates: ASAP! The family hopes to hire someone in the next couple of weeks.
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45 hours per week. The general schedule falls on Wednesday through Sunday between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Flexibility to support occasional overnights will be asked in advance and appreciated. The family looks forward to creating a mutually beneficial schedule alongside the candidate.
  • Compensation: The family is offering an hourly rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $74k/year based on the 45 hour/week schedule.
  • Benefits: The family will provide paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, relocation assistance, a $30k retention bonus at the 3-year mark, and $15k for each additional year after that.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Live in. The family will provide a private 2-bedroom apartment on their property. This newly renovated apartment has beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains.

Household dynamic:

  • This easygoing and outdoor-loving family is excited to find a nanny/house manager to join their family! As a recently widowed father, Dad is hopeful to find a candidate to help him provide consistent and loving care for the children and household. The boys, ages 9 and 11, love spending time on their beautiful property and enjoy fishing, playing in their treehouse, hunting for antlers, turning rocks, looking for lizards, and exploring! The boys are described as being mature for their ages and somewhat self-sufficient, and Dad works hard to prepare them for adulthood by incorporating daily chores into their routines. They have a variety of cool animals and pets on their property, including highland cows, chickens, dogs, a cat, and fish. You’ll also see herds of Elk grazing nearby. Someone who loves animals is essential! Both children attend school during the week, and the daytime hours will focus on ensuring the household runs smoothly. Their older child was diagnosed with Asperger’s, ADHD, and dyslexia so someone who can be supportive and patient is essential.
  • This family loves to travel together and considers their travel time essential for bonding and connection, so travel is not a requirement for the nanny. This is a collaborative household, so the candidate needs to be comfortable working with a parent, extended family, and a weekly housekeeper. Dad works outside the home and is regularly in and out of the house during the day.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone warm, compassionate, emotionally well-balanced, and professional. Someone who loves animals and the outdoors will work well with this family. The kids love science experiments, so a candidate who can bring an educational bend to the day will thrive. This candidate should be calm and nurture an environment that makes children feel regulated and at ease. The family values candidates who can work autonomously and know how to manage the house and the kids’ schedules.
  • Responsibilities include creating a loving and consistent environment for the children to grow and thrive. Child-related household tasks include but are not limited to child-related tidying, organizing children’s areas, before- and after-school routines, homework help, ensuring the boys do their chores, and coordinating activities. House manager duties include running errands, meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, helping plan birthday parties, inventory management, coordinating vendors, managing the family calendar, assisting with travel planning and logistics, and occasionally attending appointments and coordinating with providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has experience working with kids with ADHD, Asperger’s, and/or dyslexia.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with elementary school-age children
  • Pet friendly!
  • Valid driver's license
  • Family assisting experience
  • Dog/Cat/Pet friendly! Willing to support light pet care
