CLOSED - Nanny/Educator Needed For Adventurous Idaho/U.S. Virgin Islands Family

Closed
Nationwide

A caring family in Idaho and the US Virgin Islands is seeking a travel-loving nanny/educator to join their team!

  • Location: Saint Marie’s, ID and the US Virgin Islands
  • Ages of children: 7, 3, and 1 year old.
  • Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm.
  • Compensation: The family is offering $45-55/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $94k-114k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance. A vehicle will be provided for professional use.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Housing accommodations provided in all locations. In Idaho, a private and separate on-property, fully furnished apartment will be provided. In the US Virgin Islands, the candidate can choose from a nearby separate apartment or a private bedroom and bathroom within the family’s home.

Household dynamic:

  • This fun, witty, and playful family lives life on the go! At 7, 3, and 1 year old, their children are described by their parents as being outdoor-loving and curious. Their 7-year-old is currently the only child who is homeschooled, but the younger children will be homeschooled as they grow up! Someone who can help to foster a love of learning and support childcare and schooling will thrive in this home.
  • While Idaho is their home base, they spend extensive time throughout the year at their second home in the US Virgin Islands and frequent Hawaii and Vancouver, WA. At home in Idaho, the family lives an outdoor lifestyle and has horses, cows, chickens, cats, and dogs! Someone who is excited to join them on their frequent wild adventures and loves to spend time outdoors will be an excellent fit. One parent is regularly home during the day, so confidence in collaborating with parents is essential.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who is bilingual in Spanish/English or who has an educational background and can nurture their children’s educational and personal development! The family enjoys working with candidates who are adaptable, outdoor-loving, and who focus on fostering an engaging environment of learning through play. Someone who is well-versed in working with the early toddler through elementary age groups will be key! The family hopes that their nanny/educator will love their children as their own, and in turn, become a part of their family.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, supporting homeschooling, and traveling with the family throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has a bachelor’s degree in an education-related field or is interested in horses and farming!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with early toddler through elementary-age children
  • Valid driver’s license and comfortable driving in various locations and weather conditions
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English or a bachelor’s degree in an educational field
  • Pet friendly!
  • Travel experience
  • Valid passport
