A dynamic, muti-residence couple is seeking a household manager/personal assistant to join them in caring for their properties and supporting their day-to-day needs!
- Location: Half Moon Bay, CA and Northern Iowa
- Start date: As soon as they find the right
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
- Compensation: Offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $100-120k/year dependent on candidate experience. They may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: Benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance, and relocation assistance. A vehicle will be provided for professional use.
- Live-in/Live-out: Open to discussing accommodations in CA, and accommodations will be provided in Iowa. The family is open to offering short-team housing during the transition period.

- This on-the-move couple is eager to find a household manager to join their team! They are based on a beautiful ranch property in Half Moon Bay and spend summers at their home in Iowa. From fishing and hunting to going to the theater, they both have passions and hobbies that keep them busy. They adore their family and grandchildren, as all grandparents do. Their family describes them as being industrious and spirited midwesterners. Someone who can jump right in and be a force of support will be an excellent fit.
- They have two dogs who travel with them, as well as animals at their ranch property. From cattle to chickens and peacocks, someone who’s comfortable working in an animal-friendly environment is key. They employ ranch staff, so someone confident working alongside others, as well as independently, will do well in this role.
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for a dynamic self-starter who brings patience, warmth, flexibility, and confidence to their role! Someone who can keep the household running smoothly and function as a personal caretaker who can accompany them to appointments and help with shuttling around/ running errands will be essential. The family is excited to find a candidate who can be a source of support and consistency as they age. Someone who is naturally organized brings a high degree of professionalism and executive function, an ability to anticipate needs, and confidence in interacting with principals will be a great fit for this role.
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to running errands, driving to/from all appointments (and setting up drivers when appropriate), light meal planning and preparation, special projects, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, scheduling appointments, tidying up the house, loading and unloading the dishwasher, doing laundry, hiring additional household staff such as a housekeeper, and traveling between residences.
- Candidate must have previous experience in a similar/applicable dynamic or role.
Qualifications:
- 5-10+ years of professional household management/family assisting experience
- Experience working in similar roles is strongly preferred
- Pet friendly! Willing to support light pet care
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
