West Coast

A light-hearted, active family is seeking an infant and toddler-savvy nanny to help them care for their daughter in California and beyond!

  • Location: Woodland, California
  • Ages of children: 7 months old
  • Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit.
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45 hours per week, with the general schedule falling Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm. Flexibility to support date nights and travel will be appreciated!
  • Compensation: The family is offering $40-45/hour based on the 45-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $93-111k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance, dental insurance, a vehicle for professional use, 401k match, and relocation assistance.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Flexible to live-in or live-out. If live-in, a private bedroom and bathroom will be provided.

Household dynamic:

  • This spontaneous, easygoing, and loving family welcomed their first child seven months ago, and they are loving their new dynamic as a family of three! With the addition of their daughter, their household is filled with laughter, cuddles, and daily adventures. They live between two different homes about 45 minutes away from each other. One is a small ranch that serves as a getaway from their busy work lives, and the other is in a lovely city outside of Sacramento. Each home has its own location perks in regard to proximity to airports, Tahoe, Napa, and San Francisco. Both parents maintain busy professional lives outside the home, and they seek a nurturing nanny who can provide a stimulating and caring environment for their daughter.
  • Both parents are entrepreneurs who work from home offices and have flexible schedules. Work keeps them busy, but they enjoy being fully present when they are off. The parents are self-described foodies who appreciate a calm and relaxing space at home. They enjoy traveling and look forward to taking their daughter on many adventures near and far. An upcoming annual fishing trip in Idaho as well as Hawaii, Europe, and Japan later this year are on their travel agenda. Flexibility and adaptability are essential qualities for the nanny, as some trips may be planned last minute.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who is calm, caring, warm, and adaptable. The candidate should be engaged and activity-focused while possessing a go-with-the-flow attitude and maintaining clear boundaries. The family values a caregiver who is fair yet firm and capable of stepping in to assist with tasks when the baby is sleeping or as needed. Someone who loves babies and toddlers and enjoys getting down on their level and connecting will be valued! The family would love to work with a candidate who is passionate about a long-term relationship whom they can grow and evolve with.
  • Responsibilities include creating a warm, loving, and safe environment for the child to grow and thrive. Childcare duties include but are not limited to feeding, dressing, supporting naptime routines, planning and scheduling activities, and keeping the child stimulated. Household tasks include but are not limited to grocery shopping, light meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, and running errands as needed.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has family assisting experience and travel nanny experience!
