A friendly and laid-back Pittsburgh family is seeking a confident and playful nanny to join them in caring for their children!
- Location: Pittsburgh, PA
- Ages of children: 7 and 3 years old
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 42-44 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 10:30 am to 6:30 pm. Occasional flexibility to support mornings, evenings, weekends, travel, or date nights will be appreciated!
- Compensation: The family is offering $35-38/hour based on the 42-44-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $79-91k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.

Household dynamic:
- This fun-loving, energetic family stays busy with their crew! Their two boys are 7 and 3 years old and love to explore and play. This could mean getting dirty in the mud, splashing in the pool, playing soccer or riding bikes around the neighborhood, making a house out of recycling, or creating bright and colorful art. These parents value their children’s individuality and enjoy finding ways to support and nurture their interests whenever possible. The oldest is entering second grade and will attend school from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Their youngest will begin a 3s program from 9 am to 12 pm daily. The parents hope to raise their children to be inclusive, empathetic, communicative, and emotionally intelligent individuals. They look forward to partnering with a nanny who shares this outlook and can help instill these qualities! One of the boys has a severe food allergy, so a candidate who can keep a close eye on food reactions and use an EpiPen if needed is very important. The parents are happy to train on this! They also have a large friendly dog so dog lovers should apply.
- These dual-career parents primarily work from home and enjoy occasionally emerging throughout the day. Although they work from home, they like to give their nannies and children independence, and do not want their presence in the home to impact the level of fun that can be had! Their nanny need not worry about the volume of voices in the house. This family looks forward to working with a nanny who may be open to occasional, yet infrequent travel with the family.

The family is excited to find a candidate who is great with preschoolers and elementary-aged children and who is an open and clear communicator. - Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, before and after school routines, and coordinating activities. Light family assisting duties might include running errands, light meal planning and preparation, grocery shopping, coordinating vendors, and managing the family calendar.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish or any other foreign language.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid driver’s license
- Knowledge and experience with preschool and elementary-age children
- Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
- Dog friendly!
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
