Energetic, Experienced Nanny/Household Manager Needed For Austin, TX Family!

A bustling and supportive family in Austin is seeking a confident and organized nanny/household manager to join them in caring for their children and home!

• Location: Austin TX
• Ages of children: 6.5, 5, and 3 years old
• Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 42.5 hours per week, with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 11am to 7:30pm. Flexibility for extended evening coverage and travel will be requested in advance and appreciated.
• Compensation: The family is offering $35-45/hour based on the 42.5-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $80-102k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate. A vehicle will be provided for professional use!
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out.

Household dynamic:

• This active, tight-knit family of five and their hypoallergenic dog love spending quality time together and strive to make each day great by instilling a sense of support, structure, and resilience into their home. At age 6, their eldest is reserved yet people-oriented and finds joy in athleticism. Their 5-year-old is sweet and funny, brightens any room she enters, and loves swimming! She is neurodivergent and working through anxiety and sensory issues, so a candidate who can help make her feel comfortable, especially in social situations, will be a strong asset. At age 3, their toddler creates his adventure by running and climbing. He loves having his sisters take care of him and benefits from strong guidance and positive behavior modeling.
• Amidst their demanding careers, the parents put their kids first and connect with them by going outdoors and on adventures in their favorite places such as California, Colorado, and Europe! They look forward to their nanny joining them on trips for a few weeks each year. One parent works outside of the home, while the other is regularly in and out. They are a Christian family and look forward to working with a candidate who is comfortable with their values.

• Responsibilities include managing school pickups, activities, and after-school routines, helping with dinner/child-related meal prep and shower/bedtime routines, grocery shopping, pet care such as dog walks and doggy daycare drop-off, tidying up common areas and kids' rooms, laundry, keeping the kitchen clean, and going on quick errands for kids clothes or basic household supplies.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who would want to cook for the whole family and/or is knowledgeable and confident in supporting children with special needs.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Knowledge and experience with the preschool and early elementary years
• Family assistant/household management experience preferred
• Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care
• Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
