CLOSED - Developmentally Minded Toddler-Savvy Nanny Needed For Bay Area Family

A multicultural, active family of three in Menlo Park is looking for a professional, Montessori-aligned nanny to join them in caring for their 10-month-old daughter!

• Location: Menlo Park, California
• Ages of children: 10 months old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 45-50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Candidates can always anticipate weekends off.
• Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 45-50-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $83-115k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. A private, spacious, sun-lit bedroom and attached bathroom are provided in the family's home. The family is also open to live-out candidates and offering a higher compensation package for a live-out setup.

• A family-oriented and hard-working Menlo Park family is excited to find a nanny to support them in caring for their 10-month-old daughter! As first-time parents, they are enjoying their first year with their daughter- who they describe as being a sweet, playful, curious, 10-month-old cutie pie who is into crawling and exploring the world around her. The family is very excited about Montessori education and look forward to meeting a candidate who is knowledgeable about this philosophy and can bring these principles into their daughters’ daily life.
• Though they are a dual-career family, both parents will be working from home at least part-time and look forward to finding someone who can be both independent and collaborative. Both parents are Indian-American, and like to stay active with everything from running to yoga! They love to spend time with family and friends and explore kid-friendly activities in the Bay Area. While travel is not a large part of this role, the family travels during holiday breaks and is open to having their nanny join them!

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for someone who is excited to cultivate an environment for their toddler charge to grow and thrive! A candidate who is focused on childhood development is well-versed in the early toddler years, and brings a professional, warm approach to their care will be a great fit for this family. Someone who brings experience with potty training and positive discipline will be appreciated, along with an appreciation of the Montessori philosophy. The candidate will have the flexibility and budget to design a creative, playful environment, both indoors and outdoors, for the child.
• A candidate who is excited about sharing in and supporting the family’s strictly vegetarian culinary preference and practice in the home!
• This is a child-focused role, and responsibilities include children’s meat-free meal preparation, light housekeeping and management of the child’s belongings and spaces, communicating with parents to ensure continuity of care, and traveling with the family occasionally.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who is also familiar with Hindi!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
