CLOSED - Developmentally-Minded ROTA Nanny Needed For Lively CA-Based Family

An energetic and spontaneous family of four is seeking two creative, structured, and travel-ready rotational nannies to join them in caring for their two young children!

• Location: Costa Mesa, CA
• Ages of children: 20 months and 5 months old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off with 24-hour on-call availability expected during work weeks. Typical working hours to fall between 9am and 9pm while on duty. Schedule flexibility and collaboration to adjust weekly schedules to correspond with the family’s travel schedule will be key!
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $100-125k/year dependent on candidate experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including health insurance and/or a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package. A vehicle will be provided for professional use.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. A private bedroom and bathroom will be provided while traveling and when staying overnight!

Household dynamic:

• These busy, hands-on parents are excited to have a rotational nanny team support their crew! Their two boys, ages 20 months and 5 months, are fun-loving and sweet! As they grow up, mom and dad are excited to expose them to new things and encourage their curiosity and development, from reading to playing outside and listening to music. With two under two, there is no shortage of giggles and play in this house!
• The parents are eager to build a team of trusted caregivers who can be an extension of their family and support the development of their boys. Both parents will be in and out of the house regularly, so someone who is comfortable collaborating with mom on a daily basis will be key, along with other household staff as they employ a chef and housekeeper. With a busy seasonal schedule, the family enjoys traveling when they can and is hopeful to spend extended time in Florida during the year. The parents describe themselves as spontaneous, spiritual, and sport and music-loving, and would enjoy working with a candidate who brings their own outside passions and hobbies into the role!

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for someone who is knowledgeable, firm yet patient, well-rounded, creative, and organized, and can help this family establish schedules and routines for two young children! The parents are eager to partner with candidates to help them implement more structure, as well as introduce developmentally focused activities for their children. A candidate who is excited to plan activities and help their kids explore hobbies, interests, and passions will be appreciated.
• Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to tidying and organizing children’s areas, assisting with potty training, planning and coordinating developmentally-focused and engaging activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. A willingness to occasionally run an errand and lend a hand where needed will be appreciated, though this is a truly child-focused role.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with candidates who are already located in the LA area!

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Valid passport
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
