A loving and playful family in NYC is seeking a proactive and engaging weekend nanny to help care for their two children!
- Location: Manhattan, New York, NY
- Ages of children: 3.5 and 1.5 years old
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
- Schedule: The family is seeking weekend coverage and is open to one of the two below schedules pending candidate availability:
- Schedule A: Guaranteeing 36 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Fridays from 12 pm to 8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 7 am to 9 pm.
- Schedule B: Guaranteeing 28 hours/week Saturdays and Sundays from 7 am to 9 pm.
- In both cases, flexibility to provide additional hours on a Friday and/or Saturday night (based on the final schedule) twice per month will be asked for in advance and appreciated.
- Compensation: The family is offering $40-45/hour based on the 36-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $74-84k/year dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including 2+ weeks of paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and MetroCard/ride share reimbursement based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live out. For late end times/early morning start times, the family is happy to provide a private bedroom and bathroom within their apartment for the candidate to use should they want to!

- These Manhattan-based parents are excited to welcome a weekend nanny to their nanny team! They describe their children as being curious, engaged, and affectionate. Their 3.5-year-old son is always on the move and loves to make people smile. Their 1.5-year-old daughter is learning to run and is quickly expanding her vocabulary with new words each day. This family is eager to work with a weekend nanny who can take initiative, while also being creative and patient!
- Both parents are in and out of the home regularly and they also employ full-time and part-time nannies who share in Monday-Friday childcare, a housekeeper, and a private chef. They enjoy spending 4-8 weekends in the Hamptons during the summer months and would be excited for their nanny to join them there next summer!
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who loves working with toddlers and preschool-aged children! A candidate who is engaging, proactive, and developmentally minded will be valued. These parents hope to work with a nanny who will plan fun and age-appropriate activities and be able to keep up with two busy toddlers. A team-oriented candidate will be appreciated as the candidate can expect to collaborate regularly with the parents as well as the family’s weekday nanny for a few hours of overlap time Friday afternoons.
- Responsibilities include creating a safe and loving environment for the children to grow and thrive. This includes but is not limited to supporting weekend routines, engaging with the children in creative ways, child-related vegetarian meal prep and clean up, child-related household tidying, and pitching in where needed.
- While not a requirement for this role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish or who possesses a valid driver’s license (a car will be provided for professional use in this case)!
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for toddlers and preschool-aged children
- Up to date on all vaccinations for the duration of employment (e.g. COVID-19, Tdap, MMR, TB, Flu) prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
