CLOSED - Creative + Fun Travel-Ready Nanny Needed For Adventurous Vail, CO Family

A heart-filled, active family of four is looking for a warm and hardworking career nanny to help care for their children in Vail, Colorado, and beyond!

• Location: Vail, CO
• Ages of children: 9 and 7 years old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-45 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Wednesday through Friday from 1 pm to 7 pm, or similar, and Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 7 pm or similar. Two nights per week (usually Wednesdays and Saturdays), the family will adjust the hours to accommodate a later schedule ending at 9 pm. Additional hours for date nights and travel will be asked for in advance and appreciated!
• Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the 40-45 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $73-98k/year dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and relocation assistance based on the candidate's need and the full benefits package. The family will also provide a vehicle for professional use.
• Live-in/Live-out: Flexible to live-in or live-out. If live in, the family will provide a cozy, private, and furnished bedroom and bathroom within their home.

• This tight-knit and travel-loving family delights in getting out and having fun! Whether it is going to the lake for a picnic, bowling, hiking, skiing, baking, or doing arts and crafts, they are always ready for a new adventure. Their 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son enjoy listening to music and playing games together. In addition to exploring new places and trying new foods, these parents value patience and kindness and believe in nurturing their children’s emotional intelligence without punitive-style discipline. They would love to find a candidate who shares these values and who can keep their kids engaged, active, and happy while being a wonderful partner in day-to-day care alongside mom!
• Both parents are in and out of the house throughout the day and one parent is a stay-at-home parent. Travel is a big part of life for this family with frequent trips to their second home in Miami, as well as frequent travel to NYC, Europe, Hawaii, California, and more! They look forward to working with an experienced travel nanny who can join them.

• Responsibilities include creating a safe and nurturing environment for the children to grow and thrive! This includes but is not limited to, planning enriching activities including local outings and adventures, preparing basic meals for the children using seasonal, healthy ingredients, assisting with child-related tidying and the overall organization of the family environment, occasional grocery shopping, supporting travel preparation for the children, and traveling with the family throughout the year. A pitch-in mentality will be valued in this role!
• While not a requirement for this role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has proven longevity in past positions and who possesses an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Valid driver’s license and passport
• Knowledge and experience with elementary-age children
• Experience traveling with families and children
