Consistent, Nurturing NCS Needed For Growing Nashville Family

A loving and considerate family is seeking a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) to join them in caring for their newborn, due in December 2024!

 

  • Location: Nashville, TN
  • Ages of children: Baby is due in December 2024!
  • Contract dates: Early December through March for 12 weeks, with the possibility to extend an additional month.
  • Schedule: Ideally 2 weeks of 24/7 care and 12 weeks of 6-day/week 12-hour overnight care. Schedule flexibility is desired dependent on specific postpartum needs.
  • Compensation: The family is offering a daily rate of $35-50/hour for 24-hour and overnight care, which equates to a projected contract compensation of $47-67k dependent on candidate experience and the agreed-upon schedule and contract length. The family may be open to candidates seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid holidays, a vehicle for personal and professional use, and relocation assistance.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Accommodations provided. The family is happy to provide a private on-site apartment. A bed in the baby’s nursery will be provided for overnight shifts.

Household dynamic:

  • This loving and bright family is expecting their third child this December! They are seeking a Newborn Care Specialist who can provide the utmost support and care for their newborn for the first 3 months. They also have two older kids, one in Montessori and one who is transitioning to Montessori school this fall, and they are both looking forward to meeting their new sibling. A candidate who can adhere to and maintain the baby’s routine is key! They are also supported by a full-time nanny/house manager.
  • Both parents lead an active lifestyle and love to travel with their kids. They are considering a trip to Aspen for three weeks and may require the candidate to support the family during the day. The family has been fortunate to have caring and nurturing individuals in their home who support their children’s growth and development, and a candidate who exudes the same energy of love, positivity, and professionalism is greatly appreciated!
  • The family has one large dog in the household.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone bright, compassionate, and organized! This family appreciates a Newborn Care Specialist who can help set solid foundations and routines for their child and be proactive in providing specialized postpartum care. Someone who prioritizes being a loving care provider who is focused on bringing warmth and support to the family as they welcome their baby will be a perfect match.
  • Responsibilities include creating a nurturing and safe environment for the newborn to thrive, teaching good sleep habits as soon as possible and consistently throughout the 90 days, as well as other child-related tasks including prepping and sanitizing bottles, baby’s laundry, tidying the nursery, and generally bringing a supportive, all-hands-on-deck, collaborative attitude to each day.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of professional childcare experience, plus 2+ years in NCS specialist roles
  • Knowledge of every aspect of newborn care, including professional and working knowledge of feeding, bathing, and dressing infants, and preparing, cleaning, and sanitizing bottles
  • Experience and knowledge surrounding sleep teaching, establishing routines, and developmental milestones
  • Newborn care specialist training, preferably through Newborn Care Solutions or another CACHE-accredited program
  • Valid driver’s license
