A vibrant and loving NYC family is seeking a warm, intuitive, and dedicated long-term nanny to join them in caring for their 4-year-old daughter!
- Location: Manhattan’s Lower East Side, New York, NY
- Ages of children: 4 years old
- Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40+ hours per week. During the school year, the candidate can anticipate working Monday through Friday from 12 pm to 8 pm or similar. During the summer months, the candidate can anticipate working Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, or similar. Flexibility for some evenings, weekends, and occasional travel will be asked and appreciated with advanced notice.
- Compensation: The family is offering $45-50/hour based on the 40-hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $93-104k/year range. The family may be open to candidates seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, a vehicle for professional use (if required), and a MetroCard (if required).
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. Private and separate accommodations will always be provided while traveling.
Household dynamic:
- These loving and dedicated co-parents are excited to welcome an extraordinary career nanny to their family teams and households. Their daughter is described by her parents as being precocious and soulful with equal parts spirit and spunk! She is a curious, sweet, clever, and inquisitive preschooler who enjoys arts and crafts, music, and exploring. Additionally, there are two cats at Mom’s house and two dogs at Dad’s house so pet lovers please apply! Dad also has other children at his home, but this candidate will only be responsible for caring for the 4-year-old. They are looking for a confident candidate who will fit seamlessly into both family dynamics, and who will be a loving and supportive ally for their daughter.
- The nanny will split their time between the parents' houses, which has been a successful dynamic for the family and nanny in the past. A candidate who is confident in providing consistency across households will be key. Both home environments are fully-staffed. Mom’s home employs a housekeeper, an executive assistant, and a chef. Dad’s house employs other nannies, housekeepers, drivers, and a chef. A candidate who has experience working in fully-staffed home environments will be prioritized! Both parents look forward to working with a candidate open to occasional travel during the summer and spring break. They are currently planning a trip to Maine in July!

- This position is ideal for a professional nanny who has experience with both the preschool and elementary age groups, has experience working in a fully-staffed home environment, and who is looking for their next long-term position in NYC! A candidate who is warm, creative, intuitive, and silly will be valued. Someone who has a sensitive and kind demeanor, is self-sufficient, and who understands the unique nuances of each household is imperative.
- Responsibilities include creating a safe, loving, and consistent environment in both households for the child to grow and thrive. This includes but is not limited to, driving to and from activities, collaborating with parents and other staff, child-related meal preparation and housekeeping, pitching in with family assisting duties like grocery shopping or other errands, and occasional travel.
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish and/or possesses a Bachelor’s degree. The family will also prioritize NYC-based candidates.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Knowledge and experience with preschool and early elementary-age children
- Dog and Cat friendly!
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
