CLOSED - Collaborative, Developmentally-Minded Rotational Nanny Needed For Jet-Setting Boston Family

A happy, adventurous family based in Boston, MA is seeking a travel-ready rotational nanny to join their household team in supporting their 5-year-old twins or 2-year-old twins!

• Location: Boston, MA
• Ages of children: 5-year-old twins or 2-year-old twins. The family also has 8-year-old twins who are supported by other nannies on the team!
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit
• Schedule: Full-time rotational schedule of 2 weeks on/ 2 weeks off. Candidates will be responsible for 24/7 coverage while on duty. Flexibility to collaborate with co-nannies to adjust schedules to correspond with the family’s travel schedule will be key.
• Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of $105k/year dependent on candidate experience. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including opportunities for generous annual bonuses and a vehicle for professional use based on candidate need.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in while on duty. A private bedroom and bathroom in the family’s home or nearby will be provided.
• Other Notes: The family is recruiting for two roles- one to support their 2-year-old twins, and the other to support their 5-year-old twins. They are open to a fly-in, fly-out candidate, with a strong preference for those who live in Boston or the Northeast.

Household dynamic:

• These spontaneous jet-setting dads and their family team are excited to add a pair of rotational nannies to their bustling, close-knit team! The family has recently relocated to the Boston area, and is seeking supportive, warm nannies to join their staff. The role will focus either on their 2-year-old or 5-year-old twins, and they welcome candidates who are interested in either or both roles. The 2-year-olds are described as being active and growing toddlers! They are currently working on potty training and would welcome a nanny who is experienced in this. Both 5-year-olds will begin attending elementary school this fall in Boston, and the family and co-nannies are eager to find supportive counterparts who can join them in this transitional moment!
• They enjoy fostering a team-minded environment in their home, so a candidate who brings collaborative energy to their role will thrive in this household. The family works with a house manager, four rotational nannies, and other household support who all pitch in to create a lovely, warm environment. The family has a dog, so dog lovers are welcome! Both dads work outside of the home, though they will be in and out during the day. The family loves traveling to their home in Cape Cod for the summer, with the occasional winter trip to Europe and other vacations throughout the year. A candidate who is eager to support them both at home and on their travels will be appreciated!

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for someone who is a team player, loves bolstering growth and development in their charges, and is a true career nanny! The family is eager to bring on a rotational nanny who can focus on supporting their 5-year-old or 2-year-old twins. A willingness to pitch in to support the other children and team will be key as the family’s team works collaboratively, while also leaning into their own areas of expertise. While not a requirement, someone who brings a more formal childhood development or similar background, sole charge experience, and/or multiples experience would be wonderful!
• The family enjoys working with candidates who are flexible, critical thinkers, and who are eager to be great role models to the children by encouraging and modeling great manners, respect for those around them, and by bringing an educational bend to each day. Responsibilities include grocery shopping and meal preparation for kids, running errands as needed, and pitching in with light, child-related housekeeping. A candidate who brings a can-do attitude will be a great addition to this tight-knit team.
• While not a must for an otherwise perfect match, the family would love to work with a candidate who is local to the Boston area! The family would also love to work with an applicant who possesses Global Entry or is willing to acquire it.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license
• Valid passport
• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
• Travel experience
• Dog friendly!
• Experience working in a team or fully-staffed environment
• Comfortability preparing basic meals for the children
