Closed
West Coast

A fun-loving, energetic family is seeking a caring and collaborative nanny to partner with them in caring for their toddler and baby on the way!

  • Location: Marin County, CA
  • Ages of children: 1.5, and a baby due this fall
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week with the general working schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm. Flexibility to support one 7am start per week is needed. The family would also appreciate a candidate who is open to supporting occasional date nights and overnight coverage with advanced notice.
  • Compensation: The family is offering $35-40/hour based on the projected 50-hour/week schedule, which equates to projected annualized compensation in the $95k-109k/year range. The family may be open to a higher compensation package commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
  • Live-in/Live-out: Flexible to live-in or live-out. If live-in, a private bedroom and bathroom will be provided.

Household dynamic:

  • This kind, fun-loving family of 3 (soon to be 4!) is excited to welcome a nanny into their home. Their son is strong-willed, adventurous, and very happy! He loves playing at the park, singing and dancing, and being with his community of people who love him. This fall will bring exciting changes as the family prepares to welcome their second child and start their eldest in school part-time.
  • These dual-career parents work both in and out of the home and look forward to working with a collaborative candidate who can help keep things running smoothly, especially after baby number two arrives. This crew enjoys spending time outside by walking most places and taking advantage of sunny days with their tight-knit community. They also love to get away for the occasional long trip and spend 2-4 weeks per year traveling domestically and internationally.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a communicative, feedback-oriented candidate who values partnering with connected parents who appreciate giving and receiving feedback in a loving way. A candidate who can foster a nurturing environment for infants and toddlers while supporting their developmental milestones will be appreciated. An experienced candidate who can understand and help regulate children’s big emotions with kind and compassionate boundaries will be valued.
  • Responsibilities will include creating a safe and loving environment for the children to grow and thrive. This includes supporting daily routines and child-related household tasks, including, but not limited to, meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting tasks when not caring for the children include grocery shopping, meal prep, basic cooking for the whole family, light pet care, and the occasional errand to pick up packages or dry cleaning.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has family assistance and/or travel experience!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
  • Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
  • Valid driver's license and passport
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19
  • Dog friendly! Willing to support light pet care
