Household dynamic:

  • A nurturing, professional family based in Houston, TX, is seeking a nanny to join them in caring for their two children. At nearly 9 months old, the baby loves music and does a lot of eating and sleeping. They also have a bright 9-year-old who requires some care from the nanny. She loves arts and crafts and playing with her baby sibling! Both English and Spanish are spoken at home, so a candidate must be bilingual with a strong command of both languages.
  • They travel domestically and internationally, most typically around school holidays, and the nanny may be asked to join. This is a dual-household role, so someone who can confidently work with both parents and between their households will be essential. The children spend two days per week with their dad. The family also works with a full-time housekeeper, so someone who is collaborative and comfortable with a team will be a great addition.

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for a career nanny who is bilingual in Spanish and English, and is excited to grow into a big role! Someone who brings a strong sense of professionalism and warmth to their role will be an ideal fit. A candidate with strong communication skills and an eye for safety is paramount, and the parents look forward to working with someone who is proactive, adaptable, and respectful.
  • The nanny will be responsible for all baby-related tasks, including diaper changes, meal preparation, feeding, tidying up after the baby, and engaging in play. Responsibilities for the older child include assisting with school drop-off and pick-up. Ability to travel with the family throughout the year as needed is essential!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
  • Valid driver's license
  • Valid passport
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
