Down-to-earth first-time parents in San Francisco are seeking a nurturing Spanish, Hindi, or Mandarin-speaking nanny to join them in caring for their infant daughter!
- Location: San Francisco, CA
- Ages of children: The family welcomed their baby in February of 2023!
- Start date: June 2023
- Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40-50 hours per week. Candidates can expect to work 5 days per week, around 8-10 hours per day. The family is hopeful to start daycare at the end of the year and will shift to a 40-hour work week at that time. A willingness to work one weekend day but not required on all weekends, occasional evenings, and support frequent travel will be appreciated! They look forward to designing a schedule that works well for all parties.
- Compensation: The family is offering $40/hour based on the 45-50 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $100-115k/year range dependent on experience and the agreed-upon schedule. The family may be open to candidates who are seeking a higher compensation package commensurate with experience, and are open to adjusting hourly compensation when their schedule shifts later this year!
- Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, paid sick days, health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and relocation assistance based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
- Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. The family is happy to provide a landing pad for the perfect relocation candidate.
- Other Notes: The family would love to work with a candidate who has a vehicle available for professional use. The family would be happy to provide a vehicle stipend in this case and may be open to providing a vehicle for professional use if needed.
Household dynamic:
- This organized, active family welcomed their baby this February and couldn’t be happier. They are preparing to transition from overnight newborn care in June, and would love to meet a nanny who can support them and grow alongside their growing family for years to come! The family also has a lovely hypoallergenic dog so dog lovers should apply!
- The family loves to travel to their homes in NYC and Georgia, go skiing, and visit the beach! A nanny who brings travel-readiness is key for them as they plan to continue traveling once their baby is a bit older. Both parents are in and out of the home regularly. This is a fully-staffed home environment, and the nanny will work alongside a chef, house manager, estate manager, and part-time housekeeper. Someone who is collaborative and team-minded will be valued!
Ideal candidate:
- This position is ideal for someone who is excited to create a stimulating, educational environment and speaks Spanish, Mandarin, or Hindi. The family is excited to partner with a nanny who can help socialize baby through developmentally-appropriate activities, and a candidate who brings a patient, caring, gentle, and adventurous spirit to their role will be appreciated!
- This is a child-focused role. Responsibilities include creating an environment for the child to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to tidying and organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, coordinating activities, collaborating with staff, and traveling with the family throughout the year. A candidate who is willing to assist with light pet care and run an occasional errand will be appreciated!
- While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has a bachelor’s degree, with a strong preference for a child-related field!
Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional childcare experience
- Spanish, Hindi, or Mandarin foreign language knowledge
- Infant experience
- Valid driver’s license and passport
- Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to starting date in accordance with applicable laws
