Household dynamic:

  • This warm, playful, and kid-oriented family is excited to welcome an experienced infant and toddler nanny to care primarily for their 3-month-old son! Their baby enjoys engaging in playtime and is finding his voice. Their 2.5-year-old daughter attends preschool full-time, so the nanny will only occasionally care for both children during times of school closures. They describe their home as being a casual and kid-focused environment with a play area, and backyard full of toys and bubbles! In addition to their two lovely children, they also have a small and extremely friendly hypoallergenic dog.
  • These dual-career parents are in and out of the house on a regular basis, with one of them working primarily from a home office. They look forward to working with a candidate who enjoys communicating with parents, and being proactive about nurturing their children’s development!

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who is reliable, attentive, and loves to engage with infants and toddlers! The family is excited to work with someone who understands infant and toddler milestones and who will help nurture the children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development. A candidate who is comfortable socializing with other nannies and kids in the neighborhood, is schedule-oriented, and enjoys creative play and researching engaging activities will thrive in this role.
  • Responsibilities include creating a safe and loving environment for the children to grow and thrive! This includes but is not limited to, planning enriching and developmentally appropriate activities, helping to introduce solids and child-related meal prep, supporting daily schedules and routines, collaborating with the parents, driving their older child home from preschool (strong plus, not required), and child-related household tidying and laundry.
  • While not a requirement for this role, the family would love to work with a candidate who speaks Spanish or Mandarin.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones for infants and toddlers
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
