CLOSED - Attentive + Developmentally-Minded Infant Nanny Needed For Fun-Loving NYC Family

Loving and engaged first-time parents in SoHo are seeking a collaborative and committed long-term nanny to join them in caring for their infant!

• Location: West SoHo, NYC
• Ages of children: 4 months old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the perfect fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 52.5 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6:30 pm. Additional hours for occasional date nights or earlier mornings will be asked for in advance and appreciated!
• Compensation: The family is offering $32-35/hour based on the 52.5 hour/week schedule, which equates to an annualized base compensation of $91-107k/year range. The family is happy to offer and guarantee additional hours/week pending candidate availability and interest.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing paid time off, paid holidays, a health insurance stipend, and a MetroCard based on the candidate’s need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out

Household dynamic:

• These first-time parents are loving life with their new son! At just 3 months old, they describe their son as being a happy, smiley, and active baby who loves being sung to and read to! He recently found his voice and loves to coo and vocalize with his parents. Love, attention, safety, and development are the top priorities for these parents and they look forward to working with a nanny who will be actively engaged with their son’s cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
• These dual-career parents look forward to a collaborative relationship with their nanny! They both work primarily from their home offices and are in and out of the house on a regular basis. They are eager to foster a supportive, communicative, and consistent environment for their nanny and child to thrive!
• Historically these parents have enjoyed both domestic and international travel for up to two weeks per year. They’re excited to meet a nanny who may be flexible to support potential future travel, but this is not a requirement for the role.

Ideal candidate:

• This position is ideal for someone who is developmentally minded, proactive, outgoing, and who takes an interactive approach to their care! A candidate who loves infants and toddlers and who is excited to grow alongside the family will be appreciated. A true sense of partnership with their nanny is very important to this family, so a candidate who performs well with daily collaboration and communication, and who is able to help them create and maintain structure will be key. A candidate who loves to explore and who will be motivated to get the baby outside for new adventures every day will thrive in this position.
• Responsibilities include creating a loving and safe environment for the child to grow and thrive! This includes but is not limited to tag-teaming with both parents, light child-related housekeeping, children’s laundry, researching and discussing enriching and age-appropriate activities, light household support, occasional errands, and a general willingness to pitch in where needed.
• While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who has an openness to potential future travel, speaks Spanish, and/or possesses a Bachelor’s degree! The family will also prioritize candidates who live within a commutable distance to SoHo.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of professional childcare experience
• Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
• Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to the start date in accordance with applicable laws
