CLOSED: Adventurous + Organized Nanny/Kids Chef Needed For Energetic Family In Kauai

A kind-spirited, close-knit family based on the beautiful island of Kauai is seeking an adventurous, travel-ready nanny/kids chef to join their bustling family team!

• Location: Kauai, Hawaii
• Ages of children: 7, 5, 2, and 1 year old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 40 hours per week, with the general schedule falling between 10am-6pm Tuesday-Saturday (or similar). The candidate can anticipate 20 hours/week dedicated to childcare, and 20 hours/week dedicated to grocery procurement and meal preparation. Flexibility and excitement for travel and weekend support will be asked and appreciated with advanced notice!
• Compensation: The family is offering $35+/hour based on the 40+ hour/week schedule, which equates to annualized base compensation of $73+k/year dependent on experience.
• Benefits: The family is open to providing benefits including paid time off, health, dental, and vision insurance, matching 401k contributions, a vehicle for use while on duty, relocation assistance, and provided off-site housing based on candidate need and the full benefits package.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-out. Nearby private and separate housing accommodations on the island provided.

Bonus points for a candidate who can combine cooking, cleaning, and childcare responsibilities and has an eagerness to include and engage the children in house tasks and cooking-related activities.
  • Playfulness and intuition are key! This family loves to get outside and enjoy their environment no matter the weather, and wear both swimsuits and raincoats daily! A candidate with an adventurous attitude and a love for energetic environments who can go with the flow and anticipate the family’s needs will thrive with this team.
  • Candidate must be excited to take ownership over food planning, including meal planning, grocery shopping, and preparation of healthy meals for the boys.

Must haves:

• • At least 3 years of professional, full-time childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license and passport
  • Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the children to grow and thrive
  • Comfortable and excited to execute grocery shopping and child-related healthy meal preparation
  • Confident swimmer and comfortable caring for children in/around pools and the ocean
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
