CLOSED - Adventure-Loving, Travel-Ready Nanny Needed For Family Based In England, France + Portugal

A world-traveling family of four based in England, France, and Portugal is seeking a travel-ready, adventurous nanny to join them in caring for their three children!

• Location: England, France, and Portugal
• Ages of children: 6 years old, 3 years old, and 7 months old
• Start date/Contract dates: As soon as they find the right fit!
• Schedule: 40+ hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. Flexibility for frequent travel between England, Portugal, and France will be key and a candidate who is open to collaborating on the weekly schedule will be appreciated.
• Compensation and benefits: The family is offering $30-35+/hour based on the 40+ hour/week schedule, in addition to benefits like a healthcare stipend/help securing healthcare in Europe, PTO, and relocation assistance resulting in a full compensation package in the $60-75+k/year range for the perfect applicant.
• Live-in/Live-out: Live-in. Separate accommodations or a guest house on the family's property will be provided at all destinations.

Household dynamic:

• • These entrepreneurial parents and their three children aged 6 years old, 3 years old, and 7 months old spend 4-5 months out of the year at each of their homes in England and the French countryside, and split the rest of their time traveling to their Portugal residence and other places around the world for both professional and family adventures, with their sweet dog often joining in on the adventure!
  • They are extremely passionate about conscious, gentle parenting and strive to raise their children to be thriving, whole, and empowered humans. Alongside their travel-heavy and health-oriented lifestyle, they seek to incorporate a child-rearing philosophy that includes unschooling, child-led learning, and unstructured play. The family is seeking a nanny to work together and join their on-the-road family team!

Ideal candidate:

• • The ideal candidate for this position will have an understanding and open-minded disposition with a collaborative approach to children and will thrive in a work environment where they are actively in tune with the rest of the team and family. A candidate who appreciates and is eager to learn more about alternative family philosophies and education styles (such as RIE, Waldorf, and/or unschooling) will be valued in this role.
  • The family would love to work with a candidate who is fun, grounded, playful, flexible, easygoing, patient, gentle, and who enjoys the outdoors and making things like nature crafts. Someone who is in tune with the children’s emotions, and can provide care that meets them where they are will be essential.
  • Other responsibilities extend to assisting with travel logistics, basic healthy meal prep (no sugars or grains), occasional errands, light tidying, and being an extra pair of helping hands.
  • This position is a collaborative, it-takes-a-village environment where both parents and nanny pitch in to create a homey, enriching, and adventurous atmosphere during the family’s many travels!

Qualifications:

• • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Possesses a valid US, EU, or UK passport
  • A valid driver’s license suitable for international driving and confidence behind the wheel in a foreign country
  • Travel savvy - confidence and comfortability in new environments
  • Proven experience supporting children of varying stages, including the infant, toddler, and elementary-ages
  • Ability and willingness to assist with common household tasks and errands
  • Dog Friendly!
  • Fully vaccinated and boosted (when eligible) against COVID-19 prior to start date in accordance with applicable laws
