Household dynamic:

  • This loving return Adventure Nannies family is excited to embark on the adventure of a lifetime, and they are eager to partner with a nanny who can learn alongside them as they travel the world. While they are typically based in Tulsa, these parents are excited to show their kids the world and a different way of life for the 2023-2024 school year. At ages 9 and 7, their eldest children love both sports, swimming, and Minecraft. Both children excel in academics, and the family is excited for them to have the opportunity to explore different learning pathways that support their children’s social, emotional, and spiritual growth. At 2 years old, their youngest can’t get enough of peekaboo, small adventures, and snuggling! While the children are in school 4 days per week, the nanny will primarily care for the family’s toddler.
  • This family prioritizes a gentle, positive parenting approach with their children and hopes to work with someone who aligns with and can incorporate this approach and bring a supportive, attuned energy to each day. They seek to foster a warm and casual working environment, and like to have their caregivers join family dinners. A collaborative and team-minded nature is key, as this person will work in tandem with parents, the family’s au pair, and their Adventure Nannies private educator to divide and conquer each day!

Ideal candidate:

  • This position is ideal for someone who is travel-ready, intuitive, and excited for the experience of a lifetime alongside this loving family team! Someone who brings experience with the toddler through elementary years and is team-oriented will be a wonderful companion to have along on their journey. Candidates should be willing to follow a gentle parenting approach. A candidate with their own extensive travel experience, whether personal or professional, will be an asset in this role, as well as experience working with neurodivergence and/or anxiety.
  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, and errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, packing children’s belongings, and traveling consistently with the family throughout the year.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate who is experienced with gentle parenting, neurodivergent learners, or has a bachelor’s degree in a child-related field!

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of professional childcare experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Valid passport
  • Knowledge and experience with age-appropriate developmental milestones
  • Experience traveling with families and children
  • Ability to swim and comfortability caring for children in and near water
